InterviewReady is a career coaching and interview preparation business based in San Diego, California. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our contact form, book a call, or correspond with us, we collect what you provide: your name, email address, phone number, where you are in your job search, and anything you write to us about your situation and goals.
Booking information. When you schedule a call, we collect the meeting details you choose and, if you provide it, your phone number for scheduling contingencies.
Information collected automatically. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. See the Cookies section below for your choices.
We do not collect more than we need, and we do not buy information about you from anyone.
How we use your information
To respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about it
To schedule, confirm, and manage calls you book with us
To provide coaching services if you become a client
To send you marketing communications, only if you have separately and expressly opted in
To understand how our website is used so we can improve it
To meet our legal obligations
We separate service communication from marketing. Responding to your inquiry never requires you to accept marketing, and declining marketing never affects the service you receive.
Text messages
If you check the box agreeing to receive texts from us, we may send you text messages about scheduling and your coaching. Message and data rates may apply. Text messaging consent is always optional and is never a condition of working with us. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP.
Payments
If you purchase a program, payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card or bank account numbers on our systems. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We use a small number of service providers to run our business, and they process your information only on our instructions:
HubSpot for our contact database, forms, scheduling, and email
Google Workspace for email and calendar
Resend for transactional email delivery
Twilio for text messaging, if you have opted in
Stripe for payment processing
Framer for website hosting
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Cookies and tracking
Our site shows a consent banner where you can accept or decline cookies used for analytics. If you decline, a single cookie remembers your preference. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals.
You can revisit your cookie choice at any time using the cookie settings link on our site, and you can also control cookies through your browser settings.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to:
Tell you what personal information we have about you
Correct information that is wrong
Delete your information
Stop sending you marketing (every marketing email also includes an unsubscribe link)
Stop sending you texts (reply STOP to any message)
To make any of these requests, email hello@interviewready.co. We will respond within a reasonable time, and we will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the rights described above. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
How long we keep information
We keep your information while we have an active relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterward for business and legal purposes. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Children
Our website and services are for working professionals and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be noted plainly rather than buried.
